Projects &
Collaborations

On the inbetweenish, I believe in the power of collaboration. Here are some of the projects I created by joining forces with different experts and creators around the world:

Below I will outline few of the above projects in more detail. Please reach out if you want to explore how we can work together in the future.

Cultural Mosaics,
Educational Online Campaign

In collaboration with Chameleon Coaching, we launched Cultural Mosaics an educational campaign aiming to raise awareness of the Cross-Cultural Kid (CCK) model as outlined by sociologist Ruth Van Reken.

Wiebke Homborg is the intercultural coach and trainer behind the Chameleon Coaching brand. Together, our aim was to develop minimalistic visuals to break down and explain each of the 12 CCK groups one by one, simplifying them into basic shapes.

For each CCK groups we created:
  • a distinct visual representation depicting the cross-cultural experience with a simple definition to explain it
  • micro-moment encompassing a central struggle with the voice and experience of one of the inbetweenish guests
  • reflective questions to ponder upon the CCK experience
  • outline of struggles, benefits, and suggestions on how adults can support children in this group

We rolled out this educational campaign on our respective platforms over the course of a month. We engaged our audience to consider the many different ways one can be exposed to different cultures in their developmental years and the resonance that can carry throughout a person's life.

Stories Across Borders,
Open Discussions on Polarizing Topics

In this intimate space, my co-host Hedvig Sandbu and I, bring together individuals who value the power of conversation and diverse perspectives. Our collaborative project, Stories Across Borders, was born out of our own frustration with developments in the world and the bigger questions they bring up.

We felt there was a need for spaces to openly and constructively discuss human issues. In our monthly virtual event we invite friends to watch and explore short feature films and/or talks highlighting certain dilemmas so we can all have an open discussion.

Now in our 11th chapter, here are some of the short films and themes we have covered:

  • Home Sweet Home, on dehuminzation, dispossession, home, and memories
  • The Danger of a Single Story, on misrepresentation, confirmation bias, and othering
  • Our Kind of Love, on arranged marriage, agency, tradition, and the power of choice

These themes have sparked engaging debates and provided opportunities to explore diverse viewpoints with guests and friends around the globe.
